I arranged the ODI bowling statistics of Indian bowlers and this is what came out!
Top Wicket Takers: Kumble (334), Srinath (315), Agarkar (288)
Top Averages: Kapil Dev (27.45), Agarkar (27.85), Srinath (28.08)
Top Strike Rate: Agarkar (32.9), Pathan (34.1) , Zaheer (36.8)
No. of 4+ wickets in an ODI: Agarkar(12), Kumble (10), Srinath (10)
Moreover, he also stands 4th on the best bowling figures.
The only place where he does not figure is obviously the economy rate column.

Atul .. the ONLY person i know of who always defended Agarkar's inclusion in the Indian side, but then again during his time anytime could be a part of the Indian bowling Line up ... we even had Dodda Ganesh playiung for india when i wouldnt even take him in my building side

Atul while you are at it, how about adding in the average pace of Agarkar as well .. i am sure Kumble would be much quicker ;)

I think people loved Agarkar on a performance basis, he was the quickest bowler we had when he debuted, but over the years he couldnt stand up to the allrounder-next kapil dev tag
This is surprising.
But a fast bowler...not really!
you need to split this stats- into first 50 wickets- next 50 and so on , then you would know why he is not in the team.
Also another observation - Agarkar seem to perform well under Azhar - rather than sachin/Dada ..right?
